The main profile of the research group is the research of viral zoonoses (diseases that are spread from animals to humans caused by viruses), and as novel coronavirus is also a virus spreading from animals to humans the centre is prepared to carry out researches concerning the deadly coronavirus if this activity becomes neccessary. U poslednja 24 časa, u zdravstvenim ustanovama sa područja grada Kraljeva, testiran je ukupno 261 uzorak nazofaringealnog brisa na prisustvo novog koronavirusa. Prisustvo infekcije potvrđeno je kod 84 osobe.
Tako je na teritoriji grada Kraljeva ukupan broj potvrđenih slučajeva od početka epidemije – 23.060.
Od poslednjeg izveštaja, u Opštoj bolnici „Studenica“ Kraljevo, sa teritorije grada Kraljeva, nažalost, preminule su četiri (4) osobe od posledica bolesti „Covid-19“.
